A wooden house from the seventies with a dreary garden is transformed and extended. The main
materials are walls of spruce stained matt black (both inside and outside), roof of fibre cement boards and oak floors.

The main floor is a terrace consisting of both inner and outer spaces. A curtain of massive wood is drawn around the interior, floating 20cm above this terrace. Gaps in the curtain provides views towards the distant fjord, trees and garden, while perforation provides light and air without view.
